EDC kicks off 2011 with Space Foundation’s move to new headquarters and three new primary employers for the region
The Space Foundation remains in Colorado Springs thanks to generous support from the El Pomar Foundation, the Anna Keesling Ackerman Fund, the EDC and the State of Colorado. The Space Foundation will move into the Arrows West Building in the Garden of the Gods corridor this summer. This also means that the annual National Space Symposium remains here, taking place this year from April 11 – 14 at The Broadmoor.
Three companies relocate their headquarters and operations to Colorado Springs. Outreach, Inc. (160 jobs) a printing/publishing company from Vista, CA; Xiotech (30 jobs) a data storage company from Minneapolis and Howell Precision Machine & Engineering (7) an aerospace and medical device manufacturing company from Lancaster, CA.
EDC’s “Think Local” initiative encourages businesses in the region to sign the
resolution
