With NORTHCOM based in Colorado Springs, the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security collaborate on securing our country from within.
The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs offers the only federally-funded homeland security program in the country and will soon include a special Ph.D. program. Colorado Springs also features a business incubator dedicated to homeland defense and security. This incubator is part of a national network of six incubators all dedicated to helping start-up companies develop solutions to the nation’s security needs.
